Born from the frustration for the widely spread greenwashing and excessive use of the term ”sustainable” as a way to sell newly produced furnitures from virgin materials – Igen started out as a project together with the Swedish second hand chain Björk & Frihet.
Igen is a small side table made from discarded pine wood dining tables. Dining tables that otherwise would have been thrown away as waste and being burned up. With inspiration from traditional Swedish ”allmoge” dining tables, Igen flirts with the nostalgic love-hate relation swedes have to pine wood furnitures.
